1. Participants of the race (hrereinafter referred to as “Participant”)shall submit participation application in consideration of their health condition for sure.
Hosting party (hereinafter referred to as “Sponsor” or “Hosting party) shall not be liable for injuries and accidents caused by faults or negligence of participants during the race unless caused by negligence or fault of the Sponsor except emergency treatments.
Hosting party purchases accident insurance for participants in preparation for injuries and accidents and deploys facilities and safety staff to prepare for various safety accidents.
In addition, Hosting party also prepares emergency system such as emergency treatment and emergency ambulance for emergency hospital visits for unexpected accidents.
Participants shall use returning cars or emergency ambulance by suspending the race when they feel any abnormality during the race.
Participants shall check their health conditions in medical centers and determine by themselves about possibility of finishing the race without problems before submitting participation application.

2. Payments of participation fee will be accepted only during the period of application according to the regulation of the race.
Policy of refund is as below in case for cancellation after payments of participation fees due to inevitable situation of Participants
.

- Refund policy -

1) Period of refund application: Only possible during the period of application (Cannot refund after expiration of participation application period.)
2) Application method: Only available via e-mail and Fax (0303-0008-0878)
(No telephone refund requests are allowed.)
3) Refund amount: All payment amount excluding bank commissions.

Please be aware that refund application is not allowed after the completion of the application period in any case.
When cancelling participation, you are required to call the race office to inform correct personal information of cancelling participant (name, residence ID number, contacting telephone number) and bank account information for refund (bank, name of account holder, account number).
※ In case of cancellation of the race due to force majeure, all participation fees shall not be refunded at all.

3. Participants of the race shall use the official player’s number manufactured and distributed by the race office (hereinafter referred to as “official numbers”) and are not allowed to use the official numbers manufactured privately. The participant who doesn’t use the official number or use numbers for different sex shall be disqualified.

4. A pariticipant shallbe disqualified if he/she .
① doesn’t use the official number or chip.
② runs different course.
③ completes running out of designated main course without touching start and returning point mats.
④ uses multiple chips
⑤ assigns his/her right to participate in the race to a third party or if he/she replace himself/herself with a third party.
⑥ receives help from other people.

5. All automobiles, bicycles, and motorcycles for the purpose of cheering or support are prohibited from entering into the marathon site, except for the official automobiles designated for the race. Official automobiles for the race shall have official stickers issued by the race office attached on the upper right side of windshield.

6. Race of 2008 King of The Road will strictly apply full course completion hours limit of the race due to traffic issues of gathering place and around the course.
If participants continue to run and have accidents without riding on returning cars of hosting party despite the expiration of limit hours, then all responsibilities shall be born by the participants, and the hosting party shall not be responsible for any accidents or damages that occur.

7. Returning cars and emergency ambulance for drop-out and patient will be operated in each course. In the following cases, participants shall ride on returning cars or emergency ambulances.
① When the traffic control hours are over, participants shall suspend the race and shall ride on returning cars according to the instruction of the race staff.
Please abide by this rule for sure for your safety accidents.
② If participants feel breathing problems or abnormalities of their bodies during the race, please inform nearby race staff or in-line patrols and get help.
③ When official medical staff or judge order suspension of racing, participants shall accept their instructions.

8. In case participants fail to pass correctly through the mats or receivers installed at the finish, racing records cannot be measured and the participants will be disqualified and no certificates of racing records shall be delivered. Chips for measuring the racing time shall be exchanged with the race completion medal and must be returned.
When a particpant could not participate in the race or could not return the chip on the race date, he/she shall return the chip to the race office using registered mail. Please be aware that one shall compensate ￦22,000 per chip when one loses or damages the chip distributed for measuring running time.

9. Official number tag, chip for measuring running time, and souvenir (T-shirt) will be delivered to the addresses written during participation application using domestic courier services with courier payment by hosting party. Memorial medal for completing the course and souvenir (bag) will only be presented concurrently in exchange of chip return on the race date and the records certificates will be delivered to all participants completing the courses by mail after the race.

10. Regulation of participation application per each course
- 3km, 5km, 10km participation qualification
1) Healthy male/female that can finish the course of their application choice.
Provided, that the minors under 13 years old can only participate subject to voluntary consent of their parents
2) All persons registered as athletes of Korea Athletics Federation after 2006 shall be excluded from awards. (All courses)

11. Race of 2008 King of The Road can share personal information of participants with supporting and cooperating organizations to provide better services for all participation applicators. Individual information of all participants shall not be provided to other companies or organizations for the purpose of business profits. Provided, that in case applicators violate requirements of participants and the use policy, in case of infringing legal damages to others, or behave violating the public morals, individual information can be revealed for the purpose of taking proper legal actions.
